Slumming It

by joetwo

Jason had to borrow to make his third date with the Chairman’s daughter a night to remember. He booked the early bird  with fine bottle of wine for her and rented a room in the finest hotel that he could afford.

They talked sweet words and stared into each other’s eyes over dinner and she readily accepted his invitation to follow him into his room. Hand in hand they walked the short distance to the hotel and climbed the stairs to their room.

As Jason entered the door the young woman stood for a minute and looked over the clean but old-fashioned room then said…

“Oh! How quaint! I supposed I can slum it for this evening but you will really have to do better next time.”
