Reminders

I found her at the back of the supermarket. Looking silently at the children’s ride, a single tear staining her cheek with black mascara.

I knew then that the world was full of reminders of what we had lost.

Under the tree, on the deep green grass, surrounded by fallen blossoms, John sat in reverie. pondering.

“I wonder” he thought out loudĀ “Do fishes hiccup?”

The light of life

There was a candle in the corner when we entered the dining room, casting shadows through the branches.

“Very gloomy” I said.

“It is!” My host said blowing out the candle.

The ends of the branches started glowing, brighter and brighter, filling the room with a bluish glow.

“Bio-Luminescence!” I said, “Lovely!”
