Travel Buddy

by joetwo

They say that you travel quicker if you travel alone but in my opinion when you are alone, time passes much more slowly than when you are with someone.
That is why I like to get a travel buddy. A stranger, just another person on the train or bus that I can beckon over and just talk to.
It doesn’t matter what we talk about, life, politics, who we are going to see, all kinds of stuff. Over the length of the journey we talk, get closer, often really bond. But then when we arrive, there is a goodbye with a handshake, or occasionally a hug and we never see each other again. The journey now over, the connection gone.
